SString Beat – Sonny Hess & Claudia Paige
Together they sound like a slow-burn groove rolling in and catching fire on the stage. The drummer lays down a deep swampy pocket-earthy, funky, and fluid-pulling from blues roots and global rhythms that breathe and move. Over that pulse, the guitar howls, sighs, and testifies, blending R&B soul, blues grit and rock and roll fire. The result is music that grooves hard but feels loose, raw yet real- a conversation between rhythm and melody that simmers, swells and hits you right in the chest.
